Karl Harrison:

Lead singer/rhythm guitar. Karl is the youngest of three, having two older sisters. “It explains a lot. Brought up by my mother, surrounded by women,” he laughs. He was on his way to being a graphic designer when a friend showed him Van Halen’s Live Without A Net concert video. “It turned my world upside down. Game over. I knew I just had to be able to do something like that.” His next musical epiphany came through discovering REM on a lost weekend in Kent. Via a friend’s copy of Automatic For The People, his focus shifted from guitar playing to singing and lyric writing.

Having quickly tired of playing in a cover band, he has been writing, recording and performing his own material ever since. “The thing for me is that there is nothing, and I mean nothing, in this life that makes me feel the way playing music does. There’s not a lot of room for anything else.” Musically, the idea that you can do something on a grand scale and keep it personal is the basis for everything that Karl brings to the band.
